Yankoo Part of the Koodaideri Project

Yankoo was one of the three sites in a project called Koodaideri.

The Koodaideri project was completed for RIO TINTO, comprising three new 50 metre towers complete from foundation work through to all antenna and commissioning works; the three sites were Koodaideri, Yankoo and Yandi 220Kv Sub station; Yankoo was by far the most difficult logistically, a dozer was used to maintain the access track and safely assist all non-all-wheel drive vehicles to access the site as the hill track was over 20 degrees in parts and corners provided a difficult area to get good traction, a lot of prior work was required to ensure that this was done with 100% efficiency and safety.
